I GOT PROMOTED TO CLASS 11 πŸŽ‰!

Yessir, got my Class 10 results, and I'm pretty happy about it! Guess what, yo' boy scored 98% 😎. I do realize that it's just class 10 CBSE examinations, but that's a pretty important examination in India and I aced it hehe.

I know it's "just" Class 10, but in India this exam actually means something, and I kinda aced it hehe. Obviously I was super elated… but still not fully satisfied 😭. Math has always been my strongest subject, and missing a perfect 100/100 hurt a bit. CBSE just introduced this new two-exam system from 2026, so I had the option to reappear for improvement (they take the best score). I seriously thought about chasing those extra 2–3 marks in Math (and maybe a few elsewhere), but honestly? It felt like a huge waste of time. Meh. I'd rather move on and enjoy Class 11 instead of grinding the same syllabus again.

BUTTT, little did I know that this could get me to be noticed outside as well! Here's the thing: I WAS INVITED BY ALL INDIA RADIO, AKASHVANI DHARWAD FOR MY INTERVIEW! That's kinda cool, not gonna lie. Sure, it hasn't made me a starboy, but at least now I am not unknown anymore. Not too many people listen to the radio anymore, but at least those that do, they know me now, haha.

You can listen to the interview (in Kannada, with English subtitles) on YouTube, here: insert link

.

Now, it's alright, everything's great; but oh boy, you should have seen me the two days before the declaration of the result: ALL SWEATY AND SCARED AS HELL. I remember hesitating to play games, too (which I eventually did not) out of fear of less marks than expected. Sure, I had analysed the question paper after coming home, but uncertainty's still a massive fear-generator. This fear was mostly due to stupid social media and the News channels out there predicting the release of results from the official CBSE website. It was almost as though they were more excited to know about the students' marks than the students themselves 🀬.

Then, finally the time had come: on April 15th 2026, at around 15:45 IST, I heard that the results were out (and I'm not even kidding, I was legit rapping the Weeknd's Timeless, specifically: 'ever since I was a kiiidd, I been legit). Also, I was not fully scared - There was like 40% of excitement in there too, and I proceed to check my results:

And it was at this moment, that I knew, I KILLED IT!! I calculate the total effective* percentage (effective meaning the percentage considering the 5 best-scoring subjects, as per CBSE) and it comes out to be a whopping 98%. Lessgoo. I knew I earned myself 2 hours of gaming.

Then came the suffering - having to celebrate my 'success' by distributing sweets (specifically Dharwad Pedhas, a delicacy unique to Dharwad - they're damn delicious). Okay, this wasn't actually suffering I don't know why I wrote that.

The next day, my parents get a call from the school, informing us of the opportunity for me to get on the radio and asked us if I'd like to do that - you know what I said πŸ₯³.

Then came an hour of preparation (even though I was candid and transparent) to most-commonly asked questions for such events - IN ENGLISH. Too bad, the interview was in Kannada 😭. The problem isn't me not knowing Kannada - I do. The problem is, the dialect of the language that has to be spoken in formal settings (this dialect is the 'official' Kannada, of South Karnataka) and the dialect that is spoken in North Karnataka (where I live, at least as of today) are different. So, it is weird and unusual for me to speak the official dialect. Anyhoo, I managed to pull it off, quite cleanly.
This was also a moment for me to announce my aim of attending MIT to the world 😁.

Oh, and yes, before I finish off this post, I am happy to announce my Level 2 SOF Results as well, as discussed in the , below:

Well, you must have noticed that Math sucked, pretty much mainly 'cuz of time constraints - that's still something I need to work on, somehow. But, you also must have noticed that I, in my zone (Karnataka) secured the 5th and 12th position for Science and Math, and on top, also won a prize worth β‚Ή500 πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰.
